HEARING SCREENING

We provide hearing screening services to determine your hearing abilities. This painless test, which takes only a few minutes, is completed in a soundproof booth using ultra-sophisticated and highly precise equipment.

To determine your diagnosis, we will collect the necessary information about your medical history to try to identify the root of your hearing problems. We'll ask you, for example, if you have trouble following a group conversation, if you hear whistling or buzzing in your ears, if members of your family have hearing problems and if you work or have worked in a noisy environment.

We will then complete a screening test that will help determine your hearing ability and recommend a hearing aid an audiologicial evaluation, if necessary, or refer you to other specialists.

Using cotton swabs to clean your ears is not recommended. Rather than removing wax from your ear canal, they push it deeper. Using cotton swabs can lead to abrasion, dryness and itching in your ears. Instead, use a washcloth and get into the habit of putting three drops of heavy mineral oil into your ear canal once per week.
