1. Comprehensive hearing assessment
We begin with a thorough analysis of your lifestyle and medical history, followed by an audiometric screening. Depending on the results, a referral to an audiologist, family physician or other hearing health specialist may be recommended.
If a hearing aid is required, we’ll guide you to the solution best suited to your lifestyle and budget. Sometimes, we’ll also take impressions of your ears to ensure a custom fit before your hearing aid is manufactured.
Using specialized equipment, your audioprosthetist makes precise adjustments to your hearing aids to optimize their performance and your comfort. In the same meeting, we take the time to explain to you in detail how to care for and use your hearing aids. We also pair your new hearing aids with your cell phone, so you can enjoy clear, effortless phone conversations.
A few weeks after fitting, we asses your adaptation to your new sound environment and make adjustments when necessary. We remain available at all times for any questions or further adjustments. It is important that you feel comfortable contacting us if you have any difficulties.
